Description

The PC817C optocoupler is a versatile electronic component that allows optical coupling between two electrical circuits while ensuring electrical isolation. It consists of an infrared diode and a phototransistor, encapsulated in a compact 4-pin package. When a current passes through the diode, it emits infrared light, thus activating the phototransistor on the output circuit. This device is widely used in various applications such as surge protection, relay control, motor regulation, and communication signal management. Thanks to its optical isolation, the PC817C contributes to circuit safety by avoiding interference and electrical shocks.
